Triangulated Irregular Network Elevation Data (TINs)

A collection of data files, each covering a 1200x1200-meter area, is available for the colored parts of each of the rectangular areas shown on the map below. Click on a rectangle to download the data for that area. The download files are between 40 and 60 megabytes in size. All of the data are in Montana State Plane Coordinates, NAD83, units meters. These data are in ESRI "generate" format and must be converted by you to a format that is useable by your software. See the FGDC Metadata for these data for instructions on using ArcMap to convert the data.

These TINs were derived from LIDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) data collected by an ALS50 sensor.

These data are also available in ESRI TIN format and as 2.5-meter DEMs in TIFF format.
