2005 National Agricultural Imagery Program (NAIP) files are now available at NRIS.  We have divided the county mosaics into *quad* - sized tiles which can be downloaded from http://nris.mt.gov/nsdi/orthophotos/naip_2005.asp.  These files are about 20 MB in size and the data is in State Plane coordinates. 

Due to the high bandwidth required to download these images, concurrent connections will be limited to 10 users.  If you attempt to log on when all 10 connections are being used, you will receive a message directing you to try again later.  We are not sure that all browsers will display this message properly.

Persons who require access to the original UTM county mosaics ranging from 1.5 to 4 GB in size should contact Gerry Daumiller.  He will provide these larger files on an as-needed basis.

On the horizon, as resources allow:

- NRIS will add the capability to access this layer through TopoFinder and use this layer as background in the Digital Atlas;

- NRIS will add this layer to our ArcIMS image service
